PONCHATOULA STRAWBERRY SAUCE

Fresh strawberries and brown sugar enhance the flavor of many desserts. Try this sauce with your favorite vanilla ice cream or over pound cake.
3 cups Louisiana strawberries, stemmed and sliced
2 tbsps dark brown sugar
3 tbsps strawberry wine
In a blender, combine sliced strawberries, brown sugar and wine. Blend until smooth. Add more brown sugar if necessary to achieve desired sweetness. Serve immediately or refrigerate up to one week.
