Comment:
Hamburgers and hot dogs are great crowd foods. Easy to prepare and kid-proof, they are the perfect meal for Fourth of July gatherings. Twist things up this Fourth with this great upscale burger.

Ingredients:
2 pounds lean ground beef
4 tbsps crumbled bleu cheese
½ pound lean ground pork
¼ cup sliced green onions
salt and cracked black pepper to taste
granulated garlic to taste
2 tbsps soy sauce
1 tbsp olive oil
2 tbsps melted butter
4 toasted hamburger buns

Method:
In a large bowl, combine beef, pork, green onions, salt, pepper, granulated garlic, soy sauce and olive oil and mix well. Divide meat into 8 equal portions. Shape each portion a thin round patty and place on a flat surface. Place 1 tablespoon of bleu cheese in the center of each of 4 patties. Place remaining four patties on top of bleu cheese and close cheese into burger by pinching the meat together. Prepare a grill for medium heat. Brush burgers with melted butter and grill for approximately 5 minutes on each side or until desired doneness. Serve warm on toasted buns with you favorite condiments.
