Memphis Style Rib Rub

Comment:
This dry rub is typical of the traditional seasoning style for ribs in Memphis. No sauce is necessary for tender, perfectly seasoned ribs. For a sweeter flavor, try adding 2 tablespoons of brown sugar to the mix.

Ingredients:
1/3 cup paprika
3 tbsps dry mustard
2 tbsps onion powder
2 tbsps garlic powder
2 tbsps ground basil
2 tbsps red pepper
1 tbsp black pepper

Method:
Combine all ingredients. Coat ribs heavily, massaging into meat. Grill. Store unused rub in an airtight container.
