Oak Plantation is the perfect setting for the wedding of your dreams.
Designed as a replica of the famous Houmas House Plantation, our
magnificent antebellum home will transport you into a world of elegance
and style, straight out of the pages of Gone With The Wind. Whether
you arrive in a horse-drawn carriage or a stretch limousine, this
spectacular property will take your breath away as you take a step
back into the Old Deep South.
The exterior of the home is accentuated with sixteen
magnificent Doric plaster columns, two courtyards with fountains
and fireplaces, and lush herb and spice gardens.
In the main house, guests will enter through the foyer,
with its Grand Staircase, then into the Parlor, adorned with a 26-foot
ceiling, 3-tiered, antique crystal chandelier, gorgeous period paintings
and antique furnishings. Adjoining the foyer is a private board
room/bride’s suite
In
our private dining area, guests enjoy the elegance of a Grand French
Ballroom, featuring a black and white simulated marble floor, three
LeBaron crystal chandeliers with matching wall sconces, a sound
system offering music to suit anyone’s taste, and seating
to accommodate 200 to 400 guests. A banquet manager oversees our
professional waitstaff who are trained to tend to every need of
our guests.
Wonderful aromas waft from the kitchen as your private
culinary staff prepares a menu made from recipes developed by world-renowned
Chef John Folse and designed specifically for your reception or
rehearsal dinner. White Oak Plantation’s reputation for outstanding
